Sarat Chandra Velijala is a skilled Penetration Tester with over 7 years of experience in the field of cybersecurity. He is currently working with RSM US LLP, a leading provider of audit, tax, and consulting services focused on the middle market. As a Penetration Tester in the Security and Privacy Services team, Sarat is responsible for identifying and exploiting vulnerabilities in clients' systems to help them improve their security posture. Prior to joining RSM US LLP, Sarat worked with Cyber Advanced Technology.inc., a startup focused on developing state-of-the-art IDS/IPS systems. As a Security Consultant and Network Security Engineer, he participated in penetration testing and DDoS attack simulations, configured and tested various IPSEC VPN tunnel scenarios, and was responsible for packet capture analysis, syslog and Firewall log analysis. Sarat holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Engineering from Iowa State University and a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from Gandhi Institute of Technology & Management (GITAM) University, Visakhapatnam. He has hands-on experience with tools like IXIA BreakingPoint and IxLoad and has performed log reviews for desktops and servers, as well as assisted with security audits and risk assessments. Sarat's technical skills include penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, network security, information security, and risk management.
